Selected Works

Lisa Mulgrew and Jesse Plessis (2016)

During the weekend of November 4, 5, and 6, 2016, I recorded Jesse Plessis and Lisa Mulgrew in two concerts at CASA (http://www.casalethbridge.ca/) and two private recording sessions at the University of Lethbridge Recital Hall. These sessions included contemporary and romantic works including accompanied vocal repertoire by Samuel Barber, Antonin Dvorak, Andrew Staniland, and Matthew Emery, as well as solo piano repertoire by Ludwig van Beethoven and Jesse Plessis. Here are recordings of three songs by Emery.

Lisa Mulgrew Audition Repertoire (2016)

Lisa Mulgrew is a talented master’s graduate with plans of furthering her schooling. Recently I got the opportunity to record her performances of three pieces in the University of Lethbridge’s Studio I facilities. She chose these selections to showcase her performance adaptability and technical ability in beautiful and entertaining ways.

Starblanket – The Moon Runners (2015)

A recent project that I had the honour of working on was that of a friends’ band, the Moon Runners. During March of 2015, this Swift Current-based technical rock group came to Lethbridge for one¬†weekend to record their debut 7-track EP. During the process of this I took part in microphone placement, artist and engineer assistance and support, cable pulling and other simple tasks, as well as photography and video recording. My experience with this group taught me a lot about the facilities, my colleagues Sam Walker-Kierluk and Alex Bohn, creativity and workflow in a realistic studio environment, and how to be personable and professional with clients.
